Finance Lead

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Reports To: Company Owner / Executive Leadership

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Lead to oversee and execute the core financial operations of our small but dynamic business. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a remote environment, is comfortable taking ownership of financial processes, and enjoys improving systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Generate and audit evaluator paysheets, including reconciliation of monthly revenue and auditing of reimbursements.
  • Review monthly revenue and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and timely payment; maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, including tracking outstanding balances and following up on late payments.
  • Manage all client invoicing, including audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, streamline workflows, and support financial system enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of Pivot Tables.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, self-managed environment.
  • Prior experience in small business or remote team environments is a plus.

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities

The Bayles editor will work from home and ensure our clients receive reports of the highest quality. Hours are flexible, but a set schedule will be determined.

Duties
  • Ensure the smooth and timely publication of independent evaluator mystery shopping deliverables/reports.
  • Verify submissions by performing thorough fact-checks.
  • Score questions according to standards and write commentary and narratives.
  • Ensure all written portions adhere to company standards.
  • Communicate via email and occasionally by phone.

Note: Bayles Hospitality employees are not permitted to conduct mystery shops. All mystery shops are conducted by independent contractors.

Requirements
  • Proven writing and editing experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Fast learner via remote training methods.
  • Experience in the travel, restaurant, and/or hospitality industries.
  • MS Office capability and experience.

Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience. Potential for growth.

Compliance Personnel

About the Role

As a Compliance Personnel, you will play a crucial role in our mystery shopping program by conducting comprehensive evaluations of our clients' operations in the New York City area. This role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and involves onsite visits to a diverse range of hospitality businesses, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and cruise lines.

Pay: $25.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site mystery shopping evaluations based on a client's specific brand standards and protocols.
  • Complete and submit detailed, objective reports of your findings in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all gathered information is accurate, factual, and adheres to strict quality guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion during all evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with program coordinators to clarify assignments and report findings.
